From Classroom to Closing: Celebrating the Impact of MC Companies’ 2025 Intern Class

Nov 4, 2025

The MC Companies summer internship program is a crucial part of our commitment to fostering the next generation of real estate leaders. As the 2025 program wraps up, we’re thrilled to highlight five ambitious young professionals who didn’t just observe; they gained hands-on experience, drove key projects, and confirmed their passion for the industry.

Their final presentations, or Wrap-Up Decks, confirmed the immense value of this cohort, showcasing not only technical growth but profound professional development.

The 2025 Cohort: Future Visionaries This year’s class was embedded directly into the daily operations and strategic planning of MC Companies, gaining diverse exposure to the entire multifamily real estate investment lifecycle.

Hudson Iannacone, Corporate Operations Intern

Hudson learned the power of humility in operations, recognizing that “no ask is too small” when supporting a large team effort. His work focused on the critical, behind-the-scenes contributions that significantly affect company-wide outcomes.

  • Key Learnings: Hudson enjoyed the creative freedom to design and structure the Emergency Services Manual and the New Hire Packet. He also gained a deeper appreciation for cross-departmental collaboration and the value of watching senior leaders, like Ken McElroy, strategically build and market their personal brand.

Krati Jain, Marketing Intern

Krati solidified her passion for brand strategy and content systems by working directly in the high-stakes world of real estate marketing. She gained vital exposure to MC’s content planning workflows and ad campaign reviews.

  • Key Learnings: Krati’s internship showed her how to balance decision-making between brand consistency and the unique needs of each community. She successfully connected internal strategy with external impact, confirming for her how structure, people, and design work together to achieve impactful results in a corporate environment.

Josh Basilevac, Property Operations Intern

Josh gained robust, hands-on experience in multifamily daily operations, leasing, and resident relations, deepening his learning far beyond just finance and investment. His work involved assisting with operations budgeting and rent adjustment.

  • Key Learnings: Josh’s time confirmed his passion for a real estate career, especially in asset management. He improved his communication, time management, and organizational skills, building self-confidence in professional communication and independent responsibilities that position him strongly for future roles.

Gikundiro “G” Mereweneza, Accounting Intern

Gikundiro gained valuable hands-on experience in Property Accounting, significantly strengthening her skills in core areas like Journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Key Learnings: The collaborative and supportive team environment helped Gikundiro gain clarity on working in a corporate structure. Her experience reinforced her passion for Accounting and inspired her to seek companies that actively value growth and integrity in their culture.

Kip Knippel, Investor Relations Intern

Kip received comprehensive exposure to the financial mechanics of capital raising, assisting in key capital raises for projects like Mason, Rita, and Core. He navigated the daily operations of a real office environment and the complexities of Investor Relations.

  • Key Learnings: Kip gained detailed knowledge of Acquisitions metrics (IRR, cash-on-cash, equity multiple) and capital stacks (common equity and senior debt). Key personal highlights included joining Limitless Conversations with senior leadership, participating in asset management meetings, and feeling like a valued team member, not just an intern.

Looking Forward: Commitment to Excellence

The personal and professional growth demonstrated by the 2025 intern class is a direct reflection of the mentorship and culture of excellence cultivated at MC Companies. We are proud to invest in these bright minds and contribute to their early career success.
