Ken McElroy, CEO/Principal
Ken is responsible for developing the mission and overall strategic path for MC Companies and manages all private equity relationships. Ken graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, and took a job managing a 60-unit high-rise apartment community in downtown Seattle.
Ken founded McElroy Management in 1998, and in 2001 merged his company with Ross McCallister, creating MC Companies. Ken brings 36 years of senior-level experience in multifamily asset and property management as well as development, project and construction management, investment analysis, acquisitions and dispositions, business development, and client relations. To date, he has acquired and sold in excess of $1 billion in commercial real estate. Ken has held many board positions with the Arizona Multi-Housing Association with the most recent as past Chairman of the Board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC).
He is author or coauthor of more than a dozen books on investing and real estate, including ABC’s of Real Estate Investing, and his most recent book, ABCs of Buying Rental Property, which helps young entrepreneurs make their first purchase.
