SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (February 28, 2024) – MC Companies, in partnership with the Sharing the Good Life Foundation and Move For Hunger, has been honored with national recognition for their outstanding efforts in food collection. Despite being one of the smallest property management companies among those ranked by Move For Hunger, MC Companies secured the remarkable second position in the nation, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to community service and philanthropy.

With just 26 properties under its management, MC Companies raised an impressive 12,973 pounds of food in 2023 through its partnership with Move For Hunger. This achievement underscores the company’s dedication to making a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger, leveraging its resources efficiently and effectively to support those in need. “MC Companies has been an incredible partner over the past few years,” says Move For Hunger’s Executive Director, Adam Lowy. “With nearly 3,000 properties working with us to fight hunger and food waste, it’s impressive to see MC Companies to sit at the top of the list when it comes to impact.”

Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger, annually recognizes property management companies for their contributions to food collection efforts. The Move For Hunger Multifamily Program is a network of multifamily communities across the country that includes more than 600,00 units. Despite the comparatively limited scale of MC Companies among other participating management companies, its commitment to social responsibility and community engagement has propelled it to a top-tier position nationally.

Ross McCallister, MC Companies Co-Founder and Owner, expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that made this recognition possible. “We are incredibly honored to be recognized as the second-ranked property management company in food collection nationwide. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and generosity of our team, residents, and partners, who have wholeheartedly embraced our mission to make a positive difference in the communities we serve.”

MC Companies and the Sharing the Good Life Foundation are committed to addressing food insecurity and supporting local communities. Through continued collaboration with Move For Hunger and other community partners, they aim to further expand their impact and create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
